Schenectady County Public Library will be hosting a memoir writing program designed to bring war veterans together to share their stories through the written word. Those who participate do not need to have writing experience; memory-writing exercises will be used to engage participants and to develop ideas that will be turned into written stories about their military experiences. Veterans from any war are invited to participate.

Local writer and workshop facilitator, Susannah Risley, will be leading this 3-part series on the following Wednesdays from 10-11:30 am in the McChesney Room, Central Library.

October 10: "First Time Experiences in the Military"
October 24: "An Unforgettable Challenge: Growing Up in War"
November 7: "Unexpected Joys and Sorrows"
